Plexus Projects is accepting submissions of artworks for “GUI/GOOEY 2.O”, the second installment in a series of online exhibitions exploring digital representations of the biological world. The exhibitions interrogate intersections of computational paradigms and organic forms and transgress the boundaries that distinguish them. Artworks in any media will be considered including static and time-based work as well as documentation of ephemeral artworks such as installations and performances.

GUI/GOOEY IS SIMULTANEOUSLY…

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Artwork: up to 5 IMAGES (jpg, gif, png) AND/OR up to 5 LINKS (url’s for embeddable media such as Vimeo)

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
GUI/GOOEY 2.O will open in Fall of 2024. ABOUT THE CURATOR
Laura Splan is New York City-based artist exploring intersections of Science, Technology, and Culture with everything from hand-made textiles to computer generated-animations. Her Metafrictions project traversing genetic landscapers was recently previewed by the New Museum’s NEW INC+EY Metaverse Lab at Onassis ONX. A Guided Sublimation, her recent immersive planetarium exhibition will be adapted for an upcoming performance at MoMA in 2024. And a commission of her work will be presented in Future Tense: Art, Complexity, and Uncertainty at Beall Center for Art+Technology for Getty PST: Art + Science Series in Fall 2024.
